Man, I don't know why you have to keep nagging me! Adrienne just quit your whining and make the Volume Quilt your August Goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes! You and I know that this is the only way it will get done.
When you're right, you're right.
I have no idea why I have hjad such a mental block about working on this project. I still love it, I want it, I have a decent start on it. And yet, I do anything but! Does this ever happen to you?
Either way, I think I need a push of a solid goal to get this baby done.
Now mind you I don't have time to quilt and bind etc. But I know I could finish the top.
So finishing the Volume top is my Goal for August
Rock On People
All righty! get'er done! Seriously, I really love where this is going, but I can see why you have this mental block. Looks quite, ahem, shall I say it? tedious? I think you will be very pleased when the rows start coming together.ReplyDelete
You can do it, Adrienne!!! I haven't been sewing much because of the warm weather, but I'm going to get back on track.ReplyDelete
I am really liking this quilt so far. You go girl!!ReplyDelete
Yay :) So excited to see this one finished! You can do it!ReplyDelete
It's going to be a great quilt when it's finished! Go for it! But I do know what you mean about that mental block.....ReplyDelete
Finally! ;) You can do it, and it's already looking awesome!ReplyDelete
I must tackle my scraps!... next year.
I love so many of those fabrics. It's going to be beautiful!!!ReplyDelete
Love your start so far! Fun colors, Adrienne : )ReplyDelete
YAY! I can't wait to see this come together :)ReplyDelete
Sometimes the quilt just doesn't call you... don't beat yourself up too much, Adrienne! You've made a fine start and when it feels right, you'll get it done. :)ReplyDelete
I have quite a few of these I want to finish but just don't feel like working on - sometimes its a matter of just making a start. Kind of like painting the living room, not so bad when you get going but the getting going is the thing!ReplyDelete
I hate it when inspiration/motivation vanish. I have actually thrown an in-progress top away because I couldn't stand to look at it anymore. (Please don't tell the quilt police.) Your strips look so bright and cheery... I bet this is going to be a stunner when it's done.ReplyDelete
I think we all get it. Inspiration and motivation are very fickle fellows. Their minds change like the wind. Yet, once we start working on something, we didn't think we felt like doing, they always seem to get on board and the project becomes fun again. This is a lovely quilt. Good luck with your goal.ReplyDelete
