As I finished Stamps for Melanie this weekend and started to think about what I wanted to work on next I began to realize that I have a lot on the pile. Let's take a look shall we. Please don't be scared...
First there is a baby quilt that really needs to be done in the next few weeks. It needs quilting and binding
Bliangles has been waiting patiently...
Then there are the Bees... Stash Bee, Global Scrap Bee and ModImprovB Canada. Not only am I making monthly blocks for my fellow Bee'ers, but I now have four Bee Quilts waiting for their time in the sun
Then I have The Sugar Blocks Club (those are up there on the design wall), I am only seven blocks behind on that one... only seven! Then there is the Penny Sampler. It started in July and well...I have not started that yet (except for the fabric pull of course)
Oh and then I was going to whip up some charity quilts with my Grandmother In Law's amazing stash, well I have the fabric ironed and folded for that, that is all...
And then there is that little think called The Library Project. I do have a start on my Hexie Project from Quilting on the Go, I have fabric pulled to start work on the City Sampler, and I have all of my scraps sorted by color for the Scrap Republic Project.
Holy crap, I knew it was a lot, but now seeing it in all in one place, I know that I have likely lost my mind! Time to get my senses back and start working on one thing until it is all done and then on to the next. The problem I now have it where do I start!
Are you having any panic attacks about WiPs, perhaps we can have therapy together...
Adrienne
Linking up this week
WOW...you do have a lot going on...and it's all so beautiful! I wouldn't know where to start! I need to finish things up, so I don't have many Wip's...mostly wishful thinking on fabric just sitting, uncut. Time dictates...so it's not happening any time soon. =) Thanks for being real and sharing all your beauty with us.
ReplyDeletePopping over from Show & Tell Tuesday!
Yep I used to be a one project at a time girl as well LOL. Now I cycle back and forth. When I get overwhelmed with WIPs I get focused on finishing them. But I always end up starting a few new ones along the way :)
ReplyDeleteI say do the baby quilt first since it has a deadline!
YES Adrienne!! I would be freaking out right now. I too am a one project at a time quilter, and it makes me crazy to have more than one thing going on at once. It's why I haven't joined any bees, even though part of me thinks it would be great fun. If it were me- I would start with the projects that are closest to completion and get them off the list first. Good luck. They are all gorgeous!

I actually think I get more done when I am doing one project at a time. I feel really overcommitted this fall, actually, to be doing Penny Sampler (I'm a big 2 weeks behind) and two commissioned quilts. And I might like to get something done for myself along the way! I end up spending more time watching Grey's Anatomy and poking around on the internet when I feel overwhelmed by a huge WIP pile... ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful collection of projects - love your Bliangles quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh my, you do have a lot going on. All lovely projects - especially Bliangles. :)
ReplyDeleteI am impressed! A wonderful list of projects! Fun!
ReplyDeleteAhh, feels like home to me! So many lovely little bits of awesomeness there, love it all! But really can't wait to see some Penny Sampler blocks, your pull is fantastic! And your hexies... yum!
ReplyDeleteI definitely work better with more going on, but lately i've been feeling a tad bit overwhelmed and in need of some finishes, not that it's stopped me from starting new projects ;)
That is a good list going. I was working on getting a list together too. Good luck on finishing them you have some really beautiful quilts in that list.
ReplyDeleteBreathe!!!!!!! Step back, then take the top of the stack and work down. Do NOT start anything new. That is the way I tackle my many, many projects.
ReplyDeleteOoh you do have a lot going on! All lovely though! But one project at a time and you'll get them done! ;) I find making a priority list is my best way to tackle a bunch of WiPs!
ReplyDeleteOK, I am exhausted just reading your list of WIP's. I too have a few - too scared to actually list them though, I might just freak out with you. Love all of your projects by the way. You have a great eye for colour.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you have your senses back Adrienne. You are surrounded by some very lovely WIP's though! Looking forward to reading about your finishes to come!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot, but who doesn't have a huge WIP list? :) They all look great. I see my blocks in the Stash Bee quilt top!!!
ReplyDeleteTake a deep breath. It sounds like you are a very normal quilter-a-holic!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, you are just as bad as I am. I have one quilt in pieces, two on the design wall (in pieces), tons of orphan blocks, two pillows in the making an several new patterns to test out... UGH, we are quilt-addicts. we need to get our fix, right? LOL
