The Library Projetc QAL: February Report

It's month two of The Library Project Quilt Along and I am so excited to share some amazing sponsorship news (yes I am starting right in with the good stuff!)

Because it is the dead of winter (at least it feels that way), I think we need a prize to keep us warm and motivated. From my own library a copy of Tula Pinks City Sampler. We all need more books! I mean that is why we are here in the first place right?!

This month I picked my first project to work on, City Tracks from City Quilts.


I had plans to use this "yellow' stack of Konas for this project, but when it came down to it, I just wasn't feeling it.
So I dove back into my stash and went in a different color story direction


Much better I feel. So I have been doing a lot of cutting, sewing, ironing and more cutting. Maybe too much since I ended up in a rotary cutter incident (which I talked about earlier this week here).



But now I have this

I am completely in love with this! The tops isn`t sewn together yet, but that is on the agenda for the Maritime Modern Quilt Guild Sew In this Saturday. This pattern is called City Tracks, but I am going to call my version Summer Tracks since the colors are so fresh. My husband wants to call it The Slasher, but have overruled him. I mean I didn`t even get any blood on it in the ``incident``

As a side note this quilt is also totally in keeping with my Fabric Fast. Every bit is from my stash! Feels so good to use what I have!

    I love your colors for Summer Tracks. Greens and blues are so appealing, especially when we're snowed in!

    The quilt's looking great. I've been considering this pattern for one of my projects too. But I do think you should subtitle it The Slasher. I mean, Max did spend a long night at the ER with you!

      I was wondering the same thing. I was able to add my link and then I thought maybe I shouldn't have but now I don't think I can delete it. I just like the motivation it gives to complete quilts this year :)

    Your city tracks quilt looks great in the cool colorway! Its crazy how much just changing the colors changes the quilt :) I really wanted to participate in this lovely link party that you're hosting, but things are so hectic around here :( I love following everyone's progress though!
