So many things in fact that I am in serious need of some prioritizing. Pretty easy to decide mind you, you gotta do the commissioned jobs first right! So June is going to be about three projects, a baby quilt, a pillow and a fabric challenge.
First, the Baby quilt. A friends' friend has had a new baby boy and as we were choosing a pattern the clear winner was this lovely piece by Crafty Blossom.
She even wants the same colors, so I have collected the Konas and have been busy making HSTs. It is a good activity for work trips. Mind you I had to take the Oliso, hotel irons suck! Or maybe I just could not be parted from my new toy. Either way... there was a lot of this going on
Next up, a Canadian Flag Pillow. After a few Union Jack Pillows a friend has asked for a Canadian Flag Pillow for his daughter. I am going to use this pattern by Cheryl Arkison.
And last, but not least, I need to get cracking on my Michael Miller Challenge project, which is also on my Library Project List. I have fabrics in hand and Improv Quilt Selected, it's time to cut and stitch!
So, just a few goals, but for A Lovely Year of Finishes, I only have to formally declare one. So I pick the pillow! I know, I know, the "smallest thing" but the reality is they all need to be done by the end of the month and it will be nice to have a Canadian flag done for Canada Day!
Off I go to link up.

That's going to be a really cool baby quilt. The striped binding is great. Very nice pillow, too!! Have fun with the Michael Miller Challenge - can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteYou have a long to do list! I have to add my MM challenge to my list but we have till July right, so it can wait.
ReplyDeleteWow. That is quite the list but I'm sure you'll get through it eventually :) I'm working away at my TLP list but it still seems like I may not have all the projects listed done. But I have added projects that I had not seen coming for this year. So I always say any progress is better than no progress :) Can't wait to see the Canada Day pillow!
ReplyDeleteThat baby quilt is amazing! And I love the Canadian flag for a pillow :) I've stopped making goals since working. Now my only goal is to sew regularly and just wrk on whatever project is inspiring me at the moment :)
ReplyDeleteI've got a list of projects on the go, but my sewing has been sporadic lately, that I don't seem to making any progress.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Got a ton of project on my list that I need to finish. Glad you are tackling it one at a time.
ReplyDeleteSome of the smaller projects, like a pillow, can still be really time consuming. I love that you're doing a maple leaf pillow and the colours in the baby quilt are gorgeous. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the Michael Miller fabric. Good luck with your goals.
ReplyDeleteYa, my to-do list is just about as big. But that's ok. Life would be dull without fun sewing projects to look forward to :)
ReplyDeleteI just wish I could get these baby quilts finished before the babies are born.....
Way to tackle that list, Ade! As for June, I'm going to focus on finishing J-Boy's Good Old Hockey Game (even though it's not needed until Christmas) and then... on to two special little quilts that have been calling my name. :)
